More coverage for cameraphones as their potential to change all sorts of notions of privacy and news become more and more obvious.....pope's body captured and transmitted as a sort of digital relic shock horror.....(really? will people venerate an MMS like they used to old bits of bone?)....Charlotte Church's breasts (was it a Freudian slip that he lost the phone?)....people at the royal wedding capturing their bit of history too. Enpocket quoted that 3/4 of British 18 - 24 year olds have used a cameraphone in the last three months. Actually I was surprised the figure was not higher. Olof, who I work with, went to a concert recently and his cameraphone pictures show the band partially obscured by cameraphones (the screen light is distinctive) held like the waving ends of tentacles above the audience. Phones capturing phones.
Still gloriously ironic that Nokia's security passes carry a logo of a camera crossed out. From the company that has done the most to ensure the ubiquity of photography.
